Automotive 40 V, 32 A H-Bridge Driver with Integrated Current Sensing
The DRV8245SQRXZRQ1 is a Texas Instruments automotive H-bridge driver that integrates the complete power stage, gate driver, charge pump and current sensing into a single VQFN-HR (RXZ) 16 package measuring only 3.5 x 5.5 mm. One device replaces a discrete FET bridge plus shunt amplifier chain, which shortens design time and shrinks board area in body, comfort and pump modules.
The bridge uses 30 mΩ (high-side plus low-side) integrated MOSFETs rated for 4.5 V to 40 V supply and 32 A peak output current, with integrated current sensing and feedback for closed-loop torque control. The SPI variant gives full register access for configuration, diagnostics and fault reporting, and the device is AEC-Q100 grade 1 qualified with Functional Safety-Capable documentation.
