16-Bit, 100ksps Sampling ADC with Bipolar 10V Input
The LTC1605IG#PBF is a 16-bit, 100ksps sampling analog-to-digital converter from Analog Devices (Linear Technology) that runs from a single 5V supply and draws only 55mW typical. Sample-and-hold, precision reference, switched-capacitor successive-approximation converter and trimmed internal clock are all integrated, which keeps the analog front end to one package plus a few decoupling parts.
The input range is the industry standard plus or minus 10V, so industrial sensors, 4-20mA loops with a sense resistor, and bipolar signal chains can connect without extra level shifting. DC accuracy is guaranteed at plus or minus 2.0LSB INL maximum with 16 bits no missing codes over temperature, and 86dB typical SNR covers AC measurement needs.
