Automotive Door Zone System IC with LIN and HS-CAN

The L99DZ100GTR is a door zone system IC from STMicroelectronics that integrates the power management, the LIN and high-speed CAN physical layers and the output stages of a complete door module in one LQFP-64 device. Two low-drop voltage regulators with multiple standby modes supply the module, while selective wake-up on the CAN bus keeps quiescent current low when the vehicle sleeps.

The output stage covers the actuators found in a modern door: one half bridge rated 7.5 A at 100 mOhm and one at 7.5 A at 150 mOhm for window and lock, two 3 A half bridges at 300 mOhm, two 0.5 A half bridges at 2000 mOhm, plus a configurable high-side driver that delivers up to 1.5 A at 500 mOhm or 0.35 A for small loads. The device is AEC-Q100 qualified and includes full diagnostics for shorts, opens and thermal events.
