Automotive Door Actuator Driver with 6 Bridges and 5 High-Side Drivers

The L99DZ70XPTR is a microcontroller driven multifunctional door actuator driver from STMicroelectronics. Six half bridges and five high-side drivers in one PowerSSO-36 package replace the relay and discrete FET cluster behind a car door, so door lock, mirror fold, mirror axis, window and defroster loads are all driven from a single SPI controlled device.

Up to five DC motors and five grounded resistive loads can be connected at the same time. Bridge ratings are graded to the real loads: one full bridge for 6 A, two half bridges for 3 A and two half bridges for 0.75 A. All operating modes (forward, reverse, brake and high impedance) and all diagnostic information are accessed through the SPI interface, and the integrated electrochromic mirror module drives dimming glass with one external MOS transistor.
