Automotive A2B Audio Bus Transceiver, Main or Subordinate Node

The AD2428WCCSZ-RL is an Analog Devices Automotive Audio Bus (A2B) transceiver that carries multichannel audio, control data and power over a single low-cost unshielded twisted pair. Each device can be configured as the bus main node or as a subordinate node, so one part number covers the whole daisy chain from head unit to the last microphone or speaker node.

The transceiver moves up to 32 upstream and 32 downstream audio channels with an 8-bit to 32-bit multichannel I2S/TDM interface and a programmable data rate. On the upstream side it accepts up to four high dynamic range PDM microphones simultaneously with I2S data, which makes it a natural fit for microphone arrays, active noise cancellation and in-car communication systems built on a line topology of up to 15 m between nodes.
